if you cant understand a pattern; improvise!!! that's what i did and i think it came out great. At the end of the pattern they said to sprinkle it with water on the wrong side, place a handkerchief over it, then iron.

Looks good. You did something right! I like the picots and sc over the chains on the last row, two of my favorite looks in doilies.

I can't compare it to the original because your link doesn't point to an actual doily.

I love the design and you did are wonderful job of interpeting the pattern. I myself would have blocked the finished item by pinning it out while wet. I do that to all my doilies. I think it brings out the patterns.
