Foundation single crochet photo tutorial

Foundation single crochet photo tutorial

Here is a link to a photo tutorial online I made for foundation single crochet. I hope that you find it helpful.

Oh yes, yes indeed, this was incredibly helpful to me! I've tried doing it with just the written directions, but after about 30 seconds I was like, WTF? Thank you.

I really appreciate your feedback, letting me know the instructions are understandable. I've never made a tutorial before!

Good job on the tutorial. I think everyone should be using this method.

Wow! I am giving you a virtual hug! This will make my life soooo much easier.
Contrary to what seems to be the norm, my foundation chains are always looser than the body of my work.( I crochet very tightly and often have to go up a couple of sizes in hook to make the correct guage) No matter how tight I make that chain it always leaves me with a sloppy looking edge. Now I can make my edges neat and even.
Thank you!

I've been attempting this stitch on the Basic Fingerless Mittens on this site. When I fsc the required number of times, I get a flatted piece so that joining creates an open V edge. I think I'm doing it correctly. Do you just sew up the opening or am I joining to the wrong spot? Please help!
