Crochet Journal Idea
I like to use a Rollabind (www.rollabind.com) notebook for keeping track of my crochet projects that I'm designing. I have one with a translucent cover that I've loaded with plain paper, gridded paper, and lined paper. Because of the way the rings work, it's really easy to mix and match the paper depending on what my needs are.

You can see the binder on the left of the photo with my first sketch of the lizard. I redrew it on special grid paper that I then taped onto a page in the notebook.
I use the plain paper to sketch my idea or pasting in clippings of things that inspire the project, the grid paper to draw out the stitch symbols or visual pattern (tapestry crochet) and the lined paper for writing the pattern down. I've also got a pocket page that fits in the notebook for holding on to the clippings until I can attach them, and a book mark that clips in for easy access to the page I'm working on.
When I'm finished with the project, I have a hard cover Rollabind that was empty and has extra large rings. I archive the finished project in that.

What a great idea!
