Changing Colors on a project

When you are changing colors on your project here's an easy way to do it: When you are second to the last stitch wind old color around finger and a pinch extra then cut old color. Match end of new color with end of old color and wind around your finger. Then start pushing it off your finger you knot it. This way there are no tails to weave into your project. You just have it hidden in the end of the row, last stitch.

I'm having trouble visualizing this.

Ya, me too. I need a visual! It sounds handy to know, but I just need to see it in action. I don't understand how "pushing" it off your finger (the two colours combined) will knot it.

I don't know if I can give a better visual, but I've done this knot while sewing. You put both of your ends together evenly and then with one hand pinch them between your thumb and forefinger with a small amount of the ends hanging out of the top of your fingers. Then rotate your wrist to wrap the yarn around your forefinger that is pinching it... then with the ends and the wrapped portion on top of each other and pinched, rub your thumb and forefinger together like your trying to rub it off of your finger. This should pull the ends through the loop. You should be able to look at it then and tighten the knot. You can clip the ends close to the knot if necessary.

Hope this Helps!
