Adding easy tags to homemade gifts

Adding easy tags to homemade gifts

When gifting my handy work, I like to alert the recipient as to how to care for the item. So, rather than print tags for everything, I use the label portion of the yarn with the fiber name, content and washing instructions. I cut the label down, add my card to the back and "Laminate" with packaging tape. Then punch a hole in the corner, add some of the yarn used to make the project, a button if there are buttons on the garment that may need replacing and there you have it...
PS: if you are a scrapbooker, this could be done up quite nicely.

That's a terrific idea. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to remember that as I have been just writing on paper how and hoping they keep the paper. Great idea.
