Introduction

This pattern makes Washcloths that I simply love using.

Materials List

Any Cotton yarn.
Size G Hook

Finished Size

Roughly 6" x 6 1/4"

Gauge

Not necessary.

The Pattern

Washrags
Ch 32
Row 1 - Sc in 2nd ch from hook and all chs in row. Ch 1, Turn. 31 sc
Row 2 - 32 Sc in 1st ch, sc in back loop only of next st, sc in front loop only on next st, sc in back loop only of next st, follow ** until only one st left in row, sc in both loops of final st. Ch 1, Turn. 31 sc
At the end of row 32, ch 1.
2 sc in the same st, sc evenly down the side. 3 sc in corner st, sc across row, 3 sc in corner st, sc evenly up side, 3 sc in corner st, sc across top, 1 sc in same st as beginning 2, join, tie off. Weave in ends.

Introduction

Spring Shells WashclothA washcloth and bag with a touch of spring make new big sisters feel special, too.

Materials List

  • Lily Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn (2 ½ oz/70 g per 120 yd/109 m), one ball each of (A) White, (B) Sunshine, and (C) Soft Violet.
  • Size H (5.00 mm) hook
  • Yarn needle to weave in ends

Finished Size

One size.

Gauge

Gauge is unimportant in this pattern.

Notes

ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sk = skip
st(s) = stitch(es)

Special Instructions:
When changing colors at the end of the row, drop the first color and do not cut. You will pick it up on the appropriate row/color change throughout the pattern. The edging will cover the excess yarn.
