Dog/Puppy Doll Pattern
Author

Introduction
I made this little guy for a baby. I modified the pattern from Selena K's Aquarias Kitten to post here (with permission) to make him a dog. I also made a couple other changes to the arms and muzzle.
To secure the eyes and nose for the baby to not eat them, I also sewed the buttons with needle and thread.
On my dog, I made the tail too long but didn't feel like remaking it, so for posting the pattern I shortened it.
The original Aquarius Kitten pattern:

Where I got the ears idea, changed a bit.
The Darn Cat Whatsit: http://darncatcrochet.blogspot.com/2007/10/whatsit-free-pattern_12.html
Materials List
Any yarn will do. I used four different colors.
One main color for the body, a second color for the paws, and then a third and fourth color for the collar with tag.
F-5 crochet hook (3.75 mm)
Polyester Fiberfill
Yarn needles
Needle and black thread
Three buttons: two for eyes and a black one for the nose
Finished Size
About 8 inches I think? I already gave him a way.
Gauge
I made the stitches tight so it wouldn't slowly die from the abuse of a small child.
Notes
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
rnd - round
dec - decrease
sl st - slip stitch
No joining or turning unless noted.

Assembly
1)Sew 2 legs onto front of dog, and 2 legs onto back of dog. Use pictures to help with placement.
2) Press ear flat, and sew up the opening. Sew ears on both sides of head, making sure the ‘pointy’ part of the ear is facing towards the dogs’ bottom. The ears should be a little bit tacked down, so they don’t look they are wings on his head.
3) Sew snout to front of puppy’s face, using pictures if needed. *When sewing on snout, every couple of sts, put needle between 2 sts at a time...kind of like decreasing. Then sew on his nose with black or dark brown yarn.
4) Sew tail to puppy’s bottom. The pointy end of the tail should be pointing towards the head.
5) Wrap collar around dog’s neck. Sew ends together.
6) Embroider on eyes, if not using doll eyes.
Amigurumi Style Pug

Introduction
This pattern Was created for my grandmothers Birthday. She had a much loved pug when she was newly married and has collected pug things ever since it passed away all those years ago.
She was feeling down on her birthday and I wanted to cheer her up. I made her two and she loved them!
The best kind of dog is the kind you don't have to feed, or clean up after!
Materials List
Worsted weight yarn (I used simply soft)
Crochet Hooks in size H and E
Stuffing
Amigurumi eyes (or buttons)
Scraps of Black Felt
Pink embroidery Floss
6 Inch Pipe Cleaner
Embriodery needle
Black thread
Darning needle
Pattern Piece:
http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n61/MrsHallsCrafts/tinypuugpattern-1....
Finished Size
About 4 inches tall and 4-5 inches long.
Gauge
Not important. This is a toy so if it comes out slightly bigger than my finished size that's ok! Changing the hook to a larger size and using a bigger yarn will also make the toy bigger.
You can also change the hook to a smaller size and use thread if you are really ambitious.
Notes
The Head and Body are made using the Magic Adjustable ring. If you do not wish to do this simply Chain 2 and make the amount of single crochets into the second stitch instead of the ring.
The Pattern
Head:
With H hook
Using magic Ring method Single Crochet 5 Times into ring, Pull tail and join with a slip stitch. (5 sc)
