I had piles and piles of crochet magazines and had to sift through the every time I needed to find a specific pattern. So, I purchased a paper knife/islice/quick cutter to safely and soothly put my magazines apart. I took the information and patterns that I wanted and put them in clear sleeves three whole punched. I then categorized and sub-categorized the patterns into about 5 different categories and about 5 subcategories for each category. They are now all in binders on a shelf. Whenever I get a new magazine I put out the information or pattern that I want and put it in a sleeve and in the appropriate binder. Takes about 30 minutes to get the job done now, and I can find the exact pillow or scarf pattern when I need it.
