Hi, i'm a newbie to this page but not to crocheting. believe it or not i learned to crochet while waiting to be discharged from the army in 1974, when i found out i was pregnant. there were about 6 of us waiting to leave and one of them was crocheting and i said i had always wanted to learn. well, she was sweet and taught all of us how to crochet. being pregnant as we all were we started with a baby blanket. i have to say my sister still has this blanket and you can tell my progress in learning about tension. it started being about 24" wide and 24" long. well..... it ended up 24" wide at the start but by the time it was finished it was twice that at the end. sorta like a pyramid. but that's ok, my niece still has it 29 years later. I am currently working on my 3rd baby blanket of the year and have two more due before the end of the year. between nieces, nephews, and grandkids having babies this year we've been busy. i'll add more later. Thanks for having such a great site.
