Should I Kill Him??

My daughter's boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend) asked me to crochet him a blanket that would cover his head and feet at the same time and still have blanket left over. You see, he is 6 ft. 7 in. and in the Navy. Well, of course I said 'yes!'
He and my daughter went and picked out the colors of 4 different shades of blue with cream and the pattern would be stripes running length-wise, with each stripe 2 in. in width.
Between work, school for an advanced degree and family, I worked on "the blanket" for 2 years. This past December, shortly after my daughter and he broke up, I vowed to finish and send the blanket to him.
While cleaning a spot for our Christmas tree, my husband, took the blanket and placed it in a clear 55 gal. bag to "make sure it didn't get soiled."
Oh, did I forget the size of the blanket? By now it was 12 ft. by 6.5 ft. and weighed a ton! I was aiming for 7 ft. wide to cover his bed and have a bit left over.
So,un-beknownst to me, in the hub-bub of the holidays, my husband placed the blanket in the clear bag on a shelf in the garage.
A few days before Christmas, I went to finish the project, but couldn't find it. My sons and I looked all over. Upon hearing the commotion, my husband came downstairs and a look of "horror" came over his face. He sheepishly admitted that he had "accidentally" taken the bag with the blanket in it and thrown it out while cleaning the garage.
Over 2 years of work Down The Drain!!! I'm still mourning the loss....Tell me, should I kill him now???
