If you're like me, you've lost countless crafting time searching for your tape measure. I finally solved my problem. Before I start a new project, I always run a copy of the pattern as a takealong, so my magazines stay in good condition. I started copying a black & white tape measure along the long side of the page, in the margin, inches on one side, metric on the other (if the pattern calls for it). Then I put the page in a plastic protector. Pattern plus measuring tape, all in one.
