Three Strands Crochet Headband

Introduction

Easy three strands crocheted headband.
The pattern is almost the same as the necklace I've made some time ago, and that's published on Crochet Me as well.

The only difference is that the strands here have the same length, and that the sc part is longer, so that you can knot them behind to close the headband.

Enjoy!

Materials List

4.00mm hook
Any Colour Cotton yarn (worsted weight)

Finished Size

Adult Woman Head, you can make it longer or shorter by changing the number of starting ch.

Gauge

no gauge

Notes

The Pattern

Necklace:
Ch141
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in the next 29chs (30sc), ch80, sc in the 30th ch from the begin of previous ch loop, and in next 29chs, ch1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in first sc and in next 29 sc, ch 80, sc in the 30sc of the previous row.
Cut yarn and weave in all ends...that's all!
Enjoy your stylish new headband!
You can even make it with two or three different colors, by changing it at each end of row.

20.May.2008 I've made a version of this headband with a rounded flower applique.
The pattern for the flower is on my blog.

I really loved this pattern. I made it in a short amount of time, and came out great. Thanks!

Thank you for the enjoyment of getting to both crochet and wear such a beautiful piece. I pass all the compliments I have received while wearing it on to you, the designer.

What a clever idea! I would really like to make this headband. I am about a year into crocheting. So, I really don't understand how the pattern works. When you ch 80 and then sc, do you sc in the 30th chain of the first 141 ch? Or do you sc in the 30th of the ch80 loop?

Nevermind, I was trying to make the pattern harder than it is. I read your necklace pattern. Viola! Now I understand. Thanks!

this is an awesome headband. I modified the second one I made just a bit, I made it shoter and sewed the ends together so that you odn't have to tie it. It worked out great. Thank you for the pattern. I can't wear store bought headbands because they give me terrible headaches, so this is great for me because it's a headband I can actually wear, and it looks pretty and feminine on.
