Introduction
A quick, easy project made from super bulky yarn. Great for spring or fall weather.
Materials List
-1 skein super bulky weight yarn (weight category 6)
I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick (75% acrylic/25% wool) in Lemongrass.
-10 mm (US N/P-15) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
-Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Finished Size
Fits an average adult woman's neck.
Gauge
Approx. 3 stitches and 2.5 rows = 5 cm (2") in dc
Exact gauge is not critical, but it needs to fit over your head :)
Notes
Stitches used:
ch: chain
sl st: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet

I made this pattern with "regular" width yarn (not bulky) as a Christmas present for my sister. I started with a chain of 117 and after completing rows 1-7 (repeating the 6dc, ch2 pattern 14 times per row), I repeated rows 5, 6, 4 (in that order) four times before finishing off with two rows of single crochet (row 8 & 9).
In hindsight, it's a little too large, so I'd recommend starting with a shorter chain. In this instance, I put a braid of the same colored yarn through the holes to tie it closer around the neck (if desired).
Thanks for the pattern; I'll definitely make it again! :)
