Crunch Tie
Author

Introduction
Probably like most crocheters, I get very jealous of all the cool knitting patterns out there. While shopping with my husband for new work clothes, we saw all these knitted ties. And once again, I thought, I can do that in crochet. So for his new job, I made him this tie. And hopefully, one day he will wear it! If not, I will!

I didn't think of making a tie, until now. I know what you mean by everything being knitted & not crochet. I'm tired of it also. Thanks for sharing the pattern.
Hi. I LOVE this tie and want to make it for my husband (who already told me he'd wear it if I made it!)But, I'm sort of new to crochet and don't know how to pick yarn. Is the yarn really thin? Or can I use any yarn for this project? Help!
Hi Holli - Yes, the yarn (thread) used to make the tie is pretty thin. If you can't find the specific thread used (it's listed in the Materials section of the pattern), you can substitute another thread that calls for about a 2.5mm hook. Check out yarnstandards.com for info about yarn weights. Good luck! - Kim, Ed.
