How do I remove the "Welcome New User" menu?

Categorized As:

Not a "new" user anymore? It is easy to remove the "Welcome New User" menu so that it doesn't clutter your screen:

  1. In the "My Crochet Me" menu, click on "My account".
  2. Click "edit".
  3. Scroll down to "Block Configuration" and uncheck "Welcome New User".
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit".

You can always get this menu back if you want by going into your account and rechecking the box you unchecked.

Hello Everyone,

May your days be full of love and crocheting projects. Looking forward in meeting all of you. Nothing much else to say except, my yarn is calling me. Almost finished with a 15 year old sweater jacket. One of those that was always put on the back burner until now.

Happy Crocheting

Hello everyone...

Right now, as is typical for me, I have 3 or 4 different projects. I'm making a Gryffindor scarf (after that I'm making Ravenclaw for me...) fingerless gloves (will post my pattern) and a black skull and crossbones hat. Wheeee..

The National WWII Museum is proud to launch its own Knit Your Bit campaign. You can help the Museum honor WWII veterans by Knitting Your Bit- in this case a simple, but cozy, scarf to be donated to a veteran in a Veterans Center somewhere in the United States.

When we launched Knit Your Bit nearly two years ago, we had no idea the response we we would receive from dedicated knitters around the country. And responded you have! As we head into the third year of this program, the Museum has received almost 3,500 scarves from amazing knitters nationwide.

We are busily preparing another pattern, however we will accept any appropriate scarf. VA Centers have expressed their appreciation and are waiting for you to make a difference in veterans' lives this winter.

All of your scarves have made it to veterans throughout the country. The Campaign has generated positive feedback, good will and warm necks. Check back regularly for updates to see our progress.

Hello fellow crocheters,
I just wanted to say that I have the book, Crochet Me, and I love it. Crochet has become a passion of mine and I feel that it NEVER gets enough respect. A friend of mine and fellow crocheter went into a yarn store here in town. The sales staff were very friendly & helpful until they learned that she was not a knitter. One woman had the gall to say, "Oh, you won't find anything here to interest you. Crocheters only make afghans!" Do you find this attitude where you are?
I haven't been here for awhile because I have been concentrating on another of my interests--writing. There is a thing called "National Novel Writing Month" (www.nanowrimo.org). It's a non-profit that you sign up to write 50K words from Nov 1--30. It's free and you don't win any prizes for making it to the end, but if you ever have a thought to writing, it's fun. So--that's where my energies have been going lately. I have been trying to SPEED crochet the poncho that I promised my dau (birthday Nov 17)to finish it before tomorrow. If you'd like to check out my word count or novel excerpt go to the website and click of Authors. Search for "navy-vet".

Hello, I have been trying to edit information in my account, but when I go to "my account", there is not anything to click on that says "edit".  Actually, there's nothing to click on at all.  What do I do?  tpmarks2002@yahoo.com

This is not for me. Please tell me how I can delete my account. This is the most un-user friendly site I've ever seen!!
