It’s more than just an afghan—it’s a chain reaction!

The Chain Reaction Afghan was a yearlong print and online project that brought together the work of professional and emerging designers in a single afghan. The completed afghan will be auctioned off with proceeds going to a select charity.

In this collaborative project, we created an afghan with twenty unique squares. We asked some of your favorite designers to create half of the squares. We provided pictures and patterns for those ten in the Summer 2010 and Fall 2010 issues of Interweave Crochet. The rest of the afghan was designed by you! That’s right. Readers uploaded their original designs for a 12-inch square to the gallery. Ten reader-designed squares were selected for publication for the Winter 2010 and Spring 2011 issues of Interweave Crochet.

Now, those twenty square designs have been collected together into this one eBook! Plus, you will get the instructions for creating the final afghan.

The Dilly Dahlia by Margaret MacInnis is pictured from the wrong side not the right side. It is incorrect on the front page and the pattern page. However the person that assembled it for the finished afghan knew what they were doing and put it right side up.

Hi doobee60,

Oh my! This is not a good thing!

We'll be posting a picture of the square right side up just as soon as we can. Meanwhile, you can see what the square looks like right side up but in a different colorway over at the forum. (scroll down a bit to the picture)

Love to see your version of the square! Come on over to the forum and show us!

Best,

Marcy

I'm impressed. I don't think I've met anyone who knows as much about this subject as you do. You're truly well informed and very intelligent. You wrote something that people could understand and made the subject intriguing for everyone. Really, great blog you've got here. easy chili recipes
