I'm Not Gonna Make It

Day 48, originally uploaded by kpwerker.
I crocheted for hours last night. Which didn't stop me from failing to notice that I'd put the bust darts on the back of the sweater. Riiiip. I'm into the waist shaping now, but I also have a ton of magazine work to do before Julie arrives. (Also, um. I have to vacuum.) The sweater's still too big; I severely underestimate how small my ribcage is. But I'm going to proceed, doing more dramatic waist shaping than the pattern calls for. I'll bring the sweater to the launch, where, to my delight and terror, they're anticipating having to turn people away at the door. The revolution... it's gaining momentum!

The knitter in me says: Is it wool? You could always steek out the extra fabric and call it "seams" or "fitted darts" or something...
The crocheter in me says: suck it up. Rip it out. Get it right.
May this never be quoted back to me. ;)
