I did eight repeats of the lace pattern from Angela Best's Tender Teal Leaves sweater and I am going to seam the sides together to make a skirt. I added beads along the bottom edge (you can't see them too well, becauseĀ it is blocking right side down). The yarn is Knit picks silk /merino sock yarn in three colors I got from the same dye bath of Parmelia perlata, a tree lichen.

I love how this is coming along--the color is delicious. What will you do for underneath? I really enjoy seeing samples of your work.

Thanks for the compliments!I am in love with the lichen colors, too, and I highly recommend the yarn - it has a lovely sheen from the silk and feels wonderful. I am thinking it will look good with a black slip underneath.

Thanks for the compliments. I fully enjoyed making this and it was a lot easier than it looks.

The chart is really helpful and there is a logic to the pattern that starts to kick in after doing it for a while. I put little marks on the chart after finishing each row and that helps too.

That makes sense. I've got a small portion of a similar pattern, and seem to loose myself before I get the logic.
