I would like to make octagon placemats. Does anyone know of a free pattern available or is there one someone has made for ie. an afghan with few holes that is very workable?
Could not find any for "octagon"(8-sided), but did find a booklet for "hexagon"(6-sided). It is for sale on ebay at this link:

Opened up my email this morning and found an offer for free patterns with a purchase on Epatternscentral.com
One of the free patterns was an octagon placemat! You will have to buy something else to get it, but it's the only one I could find. Here is the Link:

The book "Beyond the Square" has an octagon motif on p.172. Motif #126.
