Has anyone every crocheted a scarf using cotton yarn? I was hoping to make my husband a scarf and was thinking of using cotton yarn but wasn't sure if it was the best choice.

I have used cotton and I don't see why it wouldn't work. I don't know how warm it will be but it never gets that cold here in CA.

It works just fine...

keep your stitch to a single crochet to make it "man like"

or do a tight tunisian & give him warm neck for sure.

open the stitches up to much & it will just look nice & provide no scarf-like qualities.

The only down fall i have found - the cotton i use does not stretch...so be careful with your tightness
