Yarn smackdown
I just have to say that I have entered myself in the Yarn Smackdown starting August 8th! I have never done anything like this, but I think it is a hoot. I guess yarn sports could use a little competitive edge! All in good fun of course( insert Dr. Horrible's evil laugh!!) Anyone else doing it? I entered the amigurumi event and the food fight. Wish me luck!! Oh yeah, my warrior name is Ms. Busyfingers.

If you're killed in a food fight, say, can you still be living in the hat contest? I didn't read too closely, but I think you can be resuscitated (thanks, spell checker).

This is hilarious and I just had to share. This morning I received an anonymous e-mail from "My Toaster" in the Smackdown. She's says she's sharpening her needles and thinking of me! LOL!

DARN! My toast is already on its way to Massachusetts, but I forgot to take a picture! I added brown edge on top and a slice of butter! LOL!
I wasn't able to complete the crocheted hat on time though. I'll send that out early tomorrow morning, but I'll put up a picture once I'm done!

I can't believe some people finished and were able to mail it today, though! Mine will have to go out bright and early tomorrow morning.

I finished and mailed the granny square. Unfortunately one is on its way to kill me! argh!
Well here's the one I sent. I thought the red color would be perfect (though it looks a bit pink here)! Tee-hee...
I posted the amigurumi in the show off section if you want to take a look at it. Had a bit of trouble with that pattern. If I have the chance, I'll do the bear pattern next...
