yarn ball winder or yarn swift?
I recently bought some beautiful hanks of yarn at a going-out-of-business sale and need to wind them into center pull balls. I have never wound yarn at home before and I am considering buying a ball winder. Should I also buy a yarn swift to use with the winder, or is one or the other sufficient to use by itself?
Both, but I think I'd give the edge to the ball winder. If you are handy with tools, there are plans/descriptions on the net for a DIY swift which will save you multi bucks.
