The stars "unlight" when you mouseover them, even if you've already rated the pattern. But I'll look into this; it seems to be working funny for me, too.

OK, another related behavior, which isn't a bug, is that when the page is loading, the stars appear as radio buttons. with an actual submit button. I'm not sure what happens if you select this before the stars appear.

I believe this is related to our initial rush of traffic on the site. The stars light up after a communication back to the server (which you don't see happening because it happens in the background). I'm going to monitor it, but if you wait patiently for what seems like a really long time the stars do correctly light up (and stay lit up).
