lol She certainly wasn't happy with the gabillion tries I took to take a decent picture of the beret (I had to concede defeat after that one). The beret was actually a mistake that turned out okay. I wanted to make a sunhat along the lines of sarahcrit's but couldn't figure out how to make a brim for it. live and learn, right?
Cool hooking. I found out about this website from Crochet Central Rachel. I have been searching for a thread beanie patter. All I have been able to find is yarn beanie patterns. I tried using a yarn pattern and ended up with a yamulke! Can you point me in the right direction?

I've been crocheting for three years, and I love that there is always another more challenging project out there. I have precious free time since I am the mother of three kids 5 and younger, but I must create and have at least one thing I can finish and never have to look at or do again!
Very nice! The doily-beret is a new idea to me. Usually lace caps are beanie shaped Juliet caps. Your model looks a bit unwilling, LOL.

mad for crochet!
mad for crochet! Lovely work!
Wow, I think my favourites are the hat and booties. They are just a little different from the majority and I love the warm rich colour, gorgeous.
Hooker in training...
