Short sleeved shrug thing

This is the first thing I've made up - must admit I got the stitch pattern from something in the Crochet Me book, but the rest is mine. I'm trying to write it up.

That's lovely, did you really make it up yourself? I'm impressed I find that really hard to do. Trying to nerve myself up to attempt a rug as a first 'my own' project and here you are making shrugs.

You should call this pattern of yours: Summer Breeze Shrug. It looks beautiful and I congratulate you on successfully completing your first pattern! Usually, making your own pattern seems like a mountainous task for a beginner crocheter. But here, you proved that that trend does not have to be so! Great job!
