Ripple scarf

Categorized As:

Used Sockotta sock yarn and a drifting post stitch pattern. It was my "do it when I don't want to think" project

The colors are nice, the design is harder to make out, but that model! Fantastic! So gorgeous!

This is my first foray into self striping sock yarn. I can't wear hand knit or crochet socks because I am crazy and they freak me out.

If you check here you might get a better idea of the stitch pattern.

Basically, I just did front post and back post stitches in sets of 3 and every row I bumped the order over by one. So, if 'f' is a front post stitch and 'b' is a back post stitch it would kind of go like this

fffbbbfffbbbfffbbbfffbbb
bfffbbbfffbbbfffbbbfffbb
bbfffbbbfffbbbfffbbbfffb
bbbfffbbbfffbbbfffbbbfff
fbbbfffbbbfffbbbfffbbbff
ffbbbfffbbbfffbbbfffbbbf

Okay, that was super fun to type out! Anyway, if you let your eyes go blurry you can sorta see the pattern! (if you cross your eyes you can see a magic pony!!). It's a pretty nice/easy scarf pattern.

And Maddie thanks you for the compliment! She's infinitely patient. My other dog is still a puppy (at 18 months) and he is not so patient or understanding.

Hardcore? Hardcore is for babies. I'm HOOKCORE!

Love your model! Maddie's so smug. I once did a poncho that was bfbfbfbf and the fabric came out totally reversable and very "springy", definatley one I would use again
