The idea for this project just popped into my head out of nowhere the other day, so I went with it. It was like candy it was so fun to make! Now I need a tripped out psychedelic hippie bus to fly it from.
mad for crochet! OMG YES I love that bus!! My favorite part of the video is the guy who walks by and just can't help but pet it! i can't believe they call it knitting, tho!!GRRR We hold our hooks high with pride and knitters get all the credit!

Ha I love this. When I was in high school, my boyfriend and I would drive around in his beat up old VW bus. I wish we had had this flag to fly in the face of our parents.
Otherwise known as Ms. Busy Fingers.
In my free time this winter I experimented a lot with dyeing yarn with natural stuff like oak bark and pine needles. The colors from nature are so alive! I've been crocheting for several years now - took to it with a vengeance! When I am not hookin, I take care of the rich people's gardens out here on this rock in the sea.
I like it, the colors, the symbolism, the design.

mad for crochet! Thanks to you, too, wobbly, for the compliment.
I love it! And here's the bus you need--a crochet-covered bus in Mexico City--

Thanks for that, Suzann.
My 13yo daughter said, "You would think that if she could cover a whole bus with crochet, she would know it wasn't knitting!"
But you know, I've seen crocheted tablecloths in catalogs and crocheted dresses in fashion magazines called "knitted." Yeah--GRRR !
