New post system confusion
The system gets confused when a topic runs to 2 pages. For instance, Who Taught You to Crochet? just went to the second page. It also was flagged with "1 new", but when I clicked on "1 new" it opened the first page, not the second.
I've also noticed that on other 2-page topics, but I got confused, so I never reported it. This one I caught in the act!
The other topic was http://crochetme.com/forum/jewel-top-doris-chan-everyday-crochet and part of my confusion was that some of the new posts were inserted, correctly, in the middle of the stream rather than at the end. Since I wasn't sure what was going wrong, I didn't report it.

I'm a long time but sporadic knitter and crocheter. Retired, I now have more time for yarn, hooray! Inspired by all the lovely new designs I decided to concentrate on crochet for now, smallish projects to cut the boredom factor. Hi Pauline,
When you clicked on the Who Taught You... New notice, were there any new comments on that page, or were there only old ones, with the new ones starting on the second page?
Because the comment discussions are threaded, allowing people to reply directly to someone else's comment, I think it might be behaving correctly for the second topic.
I think I might be misunderstanding; if so, please be patient with me!

In some cases I thought it might have been a new entry on p.1 so I held off on yelling "bug", but on one of the threads I used as an example, I forget which one by now, the new post was the one that forced the thread to go to two pages, the first and only post (at the time) on p.2.
