While you're there, feel free to have a look at my entire DA gallery if you like. :)

All are lovely. The lavender scarf suits my life style best. I wonder how it would look in shiny yarn.
Thanks, Pauline! I think it'd look very flash in shiny yarn. Why not give it a go?
Great gallery, the bloody big bag is toooo good to be true and the maxi vest is beautiful and similar to something I've been wanting to do for a long time. What size hook and which stitch did you use?

Well thank you!
The maxi vest came from Groovy Crochet (which is now only available as a web archive page at: http://web.archive.org/web/20011201162024/www.groovycrochet.com/index.ht...). It's down as "Midi Vest" but I just kept going until it was a maxi! Dead easy: combinations of chains and dc's, with a scalloped edge. There's also a pattern here at Crochet Me that was published a few years after I made mine: I think it's called Boho Vest.
I can't remember the size hook I used, though. It was my first time working with homespun wool and although Barb is an excellent spinner, it wasn't perfectly even like machine-spun stuff is, so I went up a couple of hook sizes to compensate for this.
LOL, that's the exact vest I've been wanting to do. I saved that pattern a few years ago and always come back to it thinking "that's it I'm going to do it". It looks great long.

You're kidding! LOL! :D
Ah well - I hope the way it looks and how quick and easy it was to make is an incentive for you.
