my first clutch

Categorized As:

Hi!
I just started crocheting and this is my fifth project I worked on. It is from the Stitch'n'Bitch book and I added some rows to make this clutch a little bit biger. I am pretty happy with it. What do you think?

That's awesome.
What yarn did you use?

I used a 100% acrylic medium yarn. i actually chosed it for adding roses to my scarf but then I had that much and used it for the cluchet..
the color is victorian rose.

Is it Caron Simply Soft? That's what it looks like. Did you line it?

yeah it is caron simply soft. No I didn't. I am a beginner and to be honest I never lined yarn... ;-)
I just thought I give acrylic a try.

I've made a lot of things with Simply Soft and sometimes it works fabulously and sometimes it works out weird. I'm curious to see how it works out as a purse. I have a lot in my stash and god knows I need even MORE purses.

You did a great job! It is adorable! I wonder how it would look felted? I've been wanting to do a felted bag, but haven't found the perfect pattern yet. This might be the one!
