My 1st Crochet pattern project and I'm stuck.
Hi, I hope someone can offer advice.
This is row 1. Afghan Body ch 146 loosely
Sc in second ch from hook,*ch 3,skip next 2 chs, sc in next ch;
repeat from *across: 49 sc and 48 ch-3sps.
I understand everything up to "49sc and 48 ch-3sps".

I think it means, when you get to the end of the row, you have made 49 single crochets (as in "sc in next ch") and 48 spaces. Sort of like little arches.

That's how I interpret it, too.
