Mens tie
Hi, My name is sylvia and i am kinda new to this wonderful hobby crocheting! I have made a few blankets and booties ,and have the desire to find an easy very easy pattern for a mans tie. I would like to make my Dr a tie for his birthday with his football team colors and would love to be able to put his initals or the Crimson tide logo which is the elephant head.Any ideas on how to make the pattern .. and the design or the initals would be great! The colors are Burgundy and grey, please any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi Sylvia
You can take a piece of graph paper and color each square to design the pattern you want in the tie. When you start the project you will use all sc (single crochet) stithes. To change colors is as follows: the stitch before you change leave the 2 loops on your hook add the new color on the hook then yarn over and pull through all three loops. You will then drop the old color and pick up the new color and continue on.
I hope this makes sense. If it is not clear please let me know.
This technique if unlimited. I took a picture of my dog and created a afghan from the pic. Of course I finished the picture portion but not the surrounding rows of he afghan yet.
Good luck!
