Wow, another pretty shawl! I think I'll check out your pattern. Thanks. Nice yarn, too.

Hello, Milobo.

I joined Crochet Me a couple of days ago and was so taken with this shawl that I went to the craft store and bought some lace-weight yarn to make my own. I haven't cared for shawls in the past as they usually look really bulky.

Mine is being made of 100% mercerized (pearl) cotton (I adore cotton!) so that it would have a very subtle sheen. It's a multi-colored yarn of soft oranges/tan. Almost peachy, but not. I post a photo when I'm finished.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Hey, milobo, quick question for you. My shawl is coming along and I wondered if you remember how big this shawl was before you blocked it?

Thanks,

Hi RedTartan, I'm afraid I didn't measure it before blocking, sorry. It did increase in size quite a bit after blocking though. Sorry I can't be more helpful

That's okay :) I'll figure it out. I noticed your skein was 300 yards. I've already used around 240 yards, so I think I'll use about another half a ball and see.
