Leafy lace skirt
I did eight repeats of the lace pattern from Angela Best's Tender Teal Leaves sweater and I am going to seam the sides together to make a skirt. I added beads along the bottom edge (you can't see them too well, because it is blocking right side down). The yarn is Knit picks silk /merino sock yarn in three colors I got from the same dye bath of Parmelia perlata, a tree lichen.

This is beautiful! I love it. I can't wait to see it finished.
I love how this is coming along--the color is delicious. What will you do for underneath? I really enjoy seeing samples of your work.
mad for crochet!
Thanks for the compliments!I am in love with the lichen colors, too, and I highly recommend the yarn - it has a lovely sheen from the silk and feels wonderful. I am thinking it will look good with a black slip underneath.
I love those colors...This is elegant! I am hopping right over to Knit Picks my favorite site and look at the yarns...
Sockgirl529 I may change this name to something different since I am not doing socks all the time,..
ok, Gotta ask! How!? do you not get lost on patterns like that. It's beautiful!! Absolutely gorgeous (sp). and it would be perfect for Shreveport.
:o)
mad for crochet!
Thanks for the compliments. I fully enjoyed making this and it was a lot easier than it looks.
The chart is really helpful and there is a logic to the pattern that starts to kick in after doing it for a while. I put little marks on the chart after finishing each row and that helps too.
That makes sense. I've got a small portion of a similar pattern, and seem to loose myself before I get the logic.
:o)
You always do the most beautiful things!!
