Kai Lan amigurumi and elmo finger puppet

Anyone attempted anything like these? My son is Kai Lan crazy (they seem ideally suited to be made into amigurumi). I just started a dragon for him (my first amigurumi project) now he's asking for an elmo puppet. Anyone got any ideas? I forget where I got the dragon pattern, but when he's done I'll post pics.

Kai Lan what? My kids were grown long ago and all sorts of kiddy shows have come and gone. I feel so out of it, LOL.

Kai lan is a new cartoon show on Nick Jr. It's a little Chinese girl (Kai lan) and all her buddies - a monkey (Ho Ho), a tiger (Rintoo) and some others. It basically does for Mandarin Chinese what Dora does for Spanish.
