An intro
Hi there! Just thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I just started taking a crochet class at a local yarn warehouse a few weeks ago and I'm already an addict. The first project was a potholder, which I failed miserably at the first time around (I was increasing stitches because I forgot that the stitch on the hook doesn't count - now that I figured that out, my second one worked much better) and the second assignment, a drawstring bag crocheted in the round, worked much better. Tomorrow night we learn how to finish off the bag and start granny squares which I'm looking forward to.
Originally, my mother tried to teach me how to crochet granny squares a few years ago, but mine always looked more like "granny lumps" so I was disappointed and didn't try to continue. Then a few weeks ago, I heard an ad for this store's classes and decided to go for it. Just what I need - another crafting addiction!

Hi! looks like you came to the right place. I believe there are a few other craft addicts on this site!
mad for crochet!
Hi there, also a newbie. Used to knit as a child, and just getting back into knitting and crochet. I'm attempting my first blanket, it's a beautiful wavy pattern worked by alternating 2 sc, 2hdc, 2dc, 2tc to get a wavy patern. I was going to give it away, but it's starting to look so pretty :-)
I'm looking for some good friends all over the world to share in my passions. i don't get out much, because of my wheelchair. All though still trying to get away with using my cane. I love l
looking at all your wonderful patterns. Please give me a yell if your looking for new friends. I'm from Northwest Indiana.
Right now I'm working on pouches for cell phones or Ipods or MP3 players using eyelash yarn trim as well as three infant dresses and sweaters. I hope to learn to knit before I die lol. i did order a book that converts knitting to crochet and yes I know that's cheating. needles41503@gmail.com
