I like to bold, italicize, use emoticons, etc., but how? For instance, what do all the < xxx >'s mean?

Aha - I just found "More information about formatting options" at the bottom of the window. I must have overlooked it before.

I'm a long time but sporadic knitter and crocheter. Retired, I now have more time for yarn, hooray! Inspired by all the lovely new designs I decided to concentrate on crochet for now, smallish projects to cut the boredom factor.
