Hi from Jindabyne, Australia

Hi everyone

It's almost end of ski season here in the Snowy Mountains of Australia. Jindabyne is a snow town (although it only gets snow once or so a year) it is the main town for the two ski resorts in the area (Thredbo and Perisher Blue). We have an open house during winter so all our friends can come and stay. This means we have a house full of people all winter. I am doing my PhD at the ANU in Canberra and tutoring. I picked up my crochet hook again for a bit of RnR. With the uni work and the open house I can get a bit all peopled out... so need a bit of 'me time'. My husband sits on the ski forums in the corner of the loungeroom to get his 'me time' so my mum suggested I do the same thing. I like skiing but not enough to get into a ski forum so my Husband suggested I find a crochet site... so here I am.

That's my story!

Hi Ragamuffin,

I had to look you up on Google maps. Snow in Australia? I just learned something new. That also means you can make and even wear wooly things.

An open house sounds like fun if you're not an introvert, but you definitely need me time.

Thanks for the hellos

No we are definitely not introverts... and we do have a lot of fun!

When I get good enough I would like to crochet myself a simple little dress to go over my cross country ski tights (just waring tights and a top is a bit much)... but I'm just starting with simple things for now!
