Hi-diddly-oh!

I'm Alissa and I live in a little city just outside Seattle, WA. I got into crocheting a few years back and found my calling in amigurumis and iPod cozies. I've made various sized cats, a tiny bunny in a turtle-neck (x3) and a little Marvin the Paranoid Android. I hope to find new inspiration here and perhaps add a little of my own. :]

hi Alissa- I live near the other washington- washington DC. I've just started an amigurumi obsession- any pointers? and I have to make a cozy for one of those new nano's with video (more square than the old nano)- any suggestions? glad to "meet" you! MKZ

Hello! Let's see, some suggestions... well, with the amigurumi I would definitely check out the Magic Adjustable Ring "story" on this website -- very helpful! -- and just practice practice practice until you get a feel and basic understanding of the concept of working in the round. As for the cozy, a suggestion would be to not use yarn that is overly fuzzy. Tried that once, and found many holes where I didn't make a stitch properly. :P Soft but workable yarn would be the best choice. Also, avoid making the cozy too much bigger than the iPod, as the yarn will stretch after some use. One of my old cozies does not function any more because I overestimated how big it should be, but at least it gave me a reason to make a new one. Anyway, good luck with your crochet! ^^

Hi Alissa/Yipiyuk,

We're neighbors? I haven't tried amigurumi yet, but it's so cute.
