Help! Need Pattern

I need a pattern that was in an afghan book. On the cover is an American Flag. The Afghan pattern is a stripped pattern, located somewhere inside that book. I don't have it anymore, it's in storage, and I now live on a sailboat, so can't get anywhere near the pattern. I've looked EVERYWHERE on line, I'm desperate...

I'm afraid I would need more information. A striped pattern or even one made in strips, does not narrow it down enough...I have dozens of each. Can you give a better description of it please?

If you remember what the cover looks like, try going on Amazon.com and checking under crochet books to try to find it. Most of the books and magazines listed have a picture of the cover shown.
