A hello from a newly obsessed crocheter!
Hello everyone!
My name is Heather, I'm newly obsessed with crocheting. My mom taught me several years ago- but I dropped it in my rebellious teenage years.
This time, I just can't seem to stop. By stop, I mean, looking at yarns online, patterns, crocheting itself- my room mate is likely going to kill if I bring anymore yarn to our place. hehe.
Anyway, I am very interested in making friends with people of the obsessed mind. =]
I'd love to have some snail mail pals as well, just so I could have someone to make stuff for, exchange patterns, ideas etc.
If you're interested, message me - would definitely enjoy talking.
-Heather

Hi Heather, I have the obsession too. I just love beautiful yarns and good patterns,, I am going to start a round ripple afghan I have to get the yarn soon, as I am very excited to try this.. BUT!! Here in Minnesota it is snowing again.. and I don't drive in this stuff. so I guess I will have to wait for the weekend.. Hope your ok there.. take care.. Monica
Round ripple afghan..? sounds very beautiful. I'll try to look that up and see an example. I've been working on a windmill patterned afghan for a few weeks now- and just have some strips to make, since my squares became rectangles and I had to refigure the whole pattern to my liking. =] I'm excited to be done with it- as it's going to Wisconsin, actually, for my roommate's granny. I think I'm more excited to be done with the color green, though. hehe.
Snow? What's snow?.. lol, we used to have a fair amount here in Tennessee, but the last few years there hasn't been a lot. This year alone there has only been a few coverings. Not that I would like to drive in it, but I'd definitely love to take a walk in it. =D
Good luck on the shopping!
Hi.. YES! snow.. about three inches.. very cold and blustery too. .. NO!! I don't think you would want to drive in it.. and I don't think you would like to walk in it either.. Hmm, maybe I am wrong.. BUT! I Don't.. LOL. YUCK!!! Can spring be toooo far away!PLEASE!!
Needless to say I didn't get out to get my yarn for my round ripple project. Maybe this weekend.
Your project sounds interesting too.
Take care, Monique/Monica
Hi Heather,
Nice to meet you. I'm always looking for new patterns and would enjoy discussing crochet 'know-how', as well.
