hello from malaysia !
18 April 2008 - hi! i'm from kuala lumpur, malaysia and am fairly new at crochet ! Tried knitting but found that it took too long to see the complete work ! guess i don't have enough patience. crochet on the other hand is quicker and fun !
just wondering if there are any other members in KL too ?

Welcome! What do you crochet? Crochet clothing would be so warm in your climate!

Hello! So far I have mostly done dresses for babies since they are smaller in size I can finish them quicker! Am currently working on a vest for my sister (long overdue)!! I make designs which have bigger 'holes' so we can wear them here. As for knitwear it would be too warm as the stitches are much closer! What do you crochet ? Where are you from ? Thanks for replying me !!
Currently I crochet little things, like tea cozies, small doilys, coasters, maybe a dog sweater for my tiny dog. In other words, things I'm likely to finish!
I'm in the USA, live near Seattle, Washington which has a moderate climate. Inexplicably, heavy snow is falling. So far I have about 4 inches and it's still coming down.
Hello! I am Malaysian and currently living in California, USA. I just gave up the idea of crocheting an afghan. I'm thinking of crocheting something small and quick too!
So far I have made a beanie, baby blankets, a fingerless glove, some flowers, a hot pad, doillies, etc. You can see some of the photos here: http://lazzzzyfish.blogspot.com/search/label/crochet
I started crocheting a few months ago and started learning knitting last week.
Wow! Looks like you've all really made lotsa stuff. My most major project is a jacket that I am currently doing for my sister. She's been complaining coz after asking me to make her a jacket for so long, all I have done is make baby clothes for my nieces and my friends' kids ! Have completed the back and 2 sleeves so far. Currently doing the front ! Hope I can get it done by the end of this week so that I can give it to her when she comes back from her holiday ! Tried making a baby hat, but had trouble going round and round... in the end it turned out like a doily ! Hahahaha!
