Hello from Italy.
Dear All.
Hi, I'm kath. please excuse the lack of caps from now on. I am holding my new bundle of joy in one hand, (lizzy 18 weeks). I have become to love crochet recently. previously a bit of a knitter but wanted something to complete in a short space of time to fill in the rare gaps between feeds. To keep me sane also useful if baby will settle only on my tummy, i can crochet and cuddle. I live in Italy but hail from london and nw england. i have my eye on a few patterns on this site already for when i have more time. I have completed two hats and two shawls with simple stitches and patterns. I look forward to letting my creative juices run riot in future.
regards
Kath and Lizzy

Hi Kath,
My real babies are grown and gone long before the internet, but I can sympathize. I'm holding a furry love bundle, lol.
Give Lizzy a kiss for me.
Pauline
Kiss delivered, and thanks for the welcome. What kind of cuddles are you having?...I'm assuming a cat or dog but you never know.

Welcome! Congratulations on the new arrival!!!! I like the Conversation Hearts scarf on here.
Thanks for the welcome and congrats. Having had a good rummage throught he patterns. I like a shawl in laceweight and also LOVE the red baby dress. I'm going to try and make both but time seems so limited. Atm it's beenies and headbands aplenty. My girls (16,12,11 and baby)are hungry for my items of fine art!!
Kath
Hi Kath,
Yes, I was holding a very small dog, a chi.
I was going to say congrats on your new one, but I need to add congrats for the other 3 as well.
Lacy shawls will come soon enough, I'm sure. Headbands and beanies are good, especially when they are appreciated.

I'm trying to get the girls to crochet, DD2 Lucy has mastered something like a dc but needs more practice. Emily DD1 is a lefty. I'm having trouble showing her and she has a limited attention span.
I want them to be able to learn some craft because they tell me after all having a headband each (all matching different sized heads) that Em will have a green, red and blue band and a beenie in green. Lucy wants more headbands shes not bothered about colours as long as it's striking and DD3 wants a red beenie oh and can she also have one in cream.
My reply was they can all have crochet lessons from me for free. Also known as "learn to make your own".
Red Beanie next....
Arn't I a good mum. LOL.
