Hello From Idaho
Hello Everyone,
I've been crocheting for many years and find myself learning something new on a regular basis. A fifteen year old project has taken life over the past couple of weeks -- sweater. Will be glad when this is completed.
Is anyone here from Idaho? Looking for friends to hang-out with on the computer and in person. If interested drop me a line.
Have a great day.

Welcome!!!
Hey Story Teller,
What is the tale of your 15 year old project? Garment, afghan, mountain tent?
Pauline
Hi Pauline,
Once upon a time there was a store called Yarn Mart out of Los Angeles CA. Their prices were the best. I found a thick acrylic/Mohair (25%) blend to make sweaters. Place the yarn in a bing to save on dust and such. Forgot that I even had it until I was looking for something else. Ever been there?
Anywho, saw that I have the back almost completed. Put that to the side and made a sleeve. Was on a craft moving and grooving and whipped up both front panels. That voice inside that tells us something is wrong. Yep, used the wrong stitch leaving the back panel to be torn out, groan. Had to let the project sit for a couple of days. I was bummed. Ripppppppp.
The back is almost completed. One more sleeve needs to be created and then sew it together.
Have a crocheting day.

I remember Yarn Mart. They sold a lot of mill ends and mystery yarn, too. I think they were named Yarn Mart. Must have been because I too still have lots of their yarn in my stash, lol, including some lace weight yarn in green which they called Ice Yarn. Both green and lace weight have come round again. Hmm, I really should go through my stash.
Hello Pauline,
Just sent you an email in reply to your comment. Giggling to myself because I remember the funky/mystery yarn. To me that was part of the fun in going. Yes, you should go through your stash. I have enough yarn to make one more sweater -- love sweaters. One of these days all my store bought acrylics will be replaced with my handmade natural fibers. Me and my projects.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi Story Teller,
I'm not ignoring you. The message never appeared.
Pauline
Hi Pauline,
My error. The message was from someone else that I thought was you. Gee, you can tell I'm the new kid on the block. LOL.
What are you working on?
Have a good one.

I've returned for the moment to my first love, thread crochet. Annie's Attic had a free pattern of the day, a doily called something like Little Hearts that I'm starting to make.
Hey I'm from Idaho. In between homeschooling my 5 kids I've been making these cute little kids fingerless gloves that I've been attempting without a pattern. they're turning out pretty good but I think I'm going to have to make them bigger somehow.
