Hello & Any MN Hookers?
Hello all!
I'm new to the forum - getting back into crochet after nearly 20 years of an on-again, off-again relationship (gee that makes me sound old!!). For whatever reason, this time it's sticking and I'm going nuts! Apparently it's infectious - I taught my sis-in-law the basics over the weekend, and the hubby is thinking about learning, too.
Anyway - after a brief survey of local yarn shops and web-based stuff & things, I am convinced there is no one in the Twin Cities doing crochet! Is this possible? I do know a few people who've picked it up recently, but I was hoping for so much more.
SO, anyone out there from the Cities? I just really want to know you're there!! :)

Welcome! On again, off again sounds familiar, like me. I'm sure I've seen posts from MN. I'm too far in WA.
Pauline
Hi! I am still somewhat a newbie to crochet but here in the Twin Cities too! I noticed a lack of hookers here when I sought help with some intermediate patterns and could not find anyone :) I have seen a space on meetup.com but nothing seems to have come about from it. Oh well we can start small and work more people in!
Tomi
Hi there, I am from Minnesota and I do crochet.. I am from Bville.. How about you?
Look at me - way to post & then dissappear!! :)
Hello to Pauline - thanks for the greeting! It's ok if you're in WA - we can still chat. :)
Yay Tomi & Monique!! I'm not alone!!! I'm in St. Paul, actually, officially on the hunt for the best yarn shop in the Cities. I've been hitting Michael's next to work as I've been getting back into things, but Michael's only goes so far. You know it's bad when you can wander in with your DH and he says "gee, the selection is pretty cruddy." Gotta love the support!
Anyway, the Yarnery on Grand is on my list for next week sometime. Any other suggestions? I get all over the Cities . . .
I think I got this site from Kim Werker's blog, http://www.knitmap.com/map Just enter your zip and get a map of LYS's. Very cool.
Hi there,, Keep in touch.. Great to hear your in the twin cities.. Monique
I live between cities and st cloud on hwy 10. There is a great yarn shop in Buffalo. She is below a book shop and stocked to the subfloor with cool yarn. She keeps in stock what you can't find commerically in Walmart or Michaels.
