Hello!
Greetings all, I'm 24 and taught myself to crochet with tutorials on the internet almost two years ago. I've browsed this site off and on since I checked out the 'Crochet Me' book from my local library and have done a couple of the patterns posted up here. Today, I decided to join after I stumbled across a Halloween themed stitch while trying to crochet a lacy dress without any pattern for a doll I'd just finished making. Once I decide what to make with it, a pattern shall be made available :D

Hi everyone. I'm new here. I'm 45 (I can't believe I just typed that number) and was taught to crochet by my mom when I was about 8. I soon progressed beyond what she could teach (she still has trouble with turning chains and winds up with crooked work) and taught myself. I also know how to knit, but it's too slow for me. My grandmother was a terrific crocheter before arthritis became too bad. She inspired me, but all her work was lace doilys and tablecloths -- skinny thread, small hook, too slow for me. Well, I look forward to chatting with you all and sharing ideas and patterns.
Welcome I am new here to.
