First Project

Categorized As:

This is the first real project that I ever did. I love penguins and so this little guy is what I came up with. I didn't know how to read patterns at the time so I just "winged it". I think he turned out pretty well, minus the fact that he's waaay bigger and heavier than i thought ha and his eyes are crooked...but that's ok! I still love him! The project I did after him was a cupcake (I even made a candle using embroidory thread flame and all!)now i'm working on another mini penguin and a whale?(If anyone knows any good patterns for whales...hit me up!)

I think he's real cute. I tend to give my animals crooked eyes on purpose...it gives them more character!

He's great! Have you thought of making him with a strand of eyelash yarn held together with your regular yarn? Anyway, these's a really cute whale patttern at: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6804847
a whale afghan square here: http://www.crochetnmore.com/whaleafghansquare.htm and a really cute tiny one here: http://simpleknits.blogspot.com/2007/01/whale-cat-toy-pattern.html.
