Miggins! If you are having weather anything like the wind that is howling around my windows, that just makes it perfect, right??! So ... what are you working on?!
The wind's dropped (I could hear it whistling through the chimney stacks at work yesterday) but that's so the rain can come through. Damp, cold, autumn weather - check - perfect conditions for an afternoon of crocheting!
I've decided to start with Mei-Mei (the front cover). I've got some deep red yarn that I think would be perfect. Cinnabar will be the next, but the yarn I've got in mind is black and mohair so I wanted to start with easier yarn and the deep red fits the bill. There's so many nice pieces and my Crochet Me book is also on its way, so looks like I'll be keeping myself busy for a good while!
Miggins, that sounds like an autumnal idyll.

What better way to spend a November afternoon!
I'd insist there be chocolate as well. :D
Check!
Edit: A friend has just given me not one but TWO boxes of chocolate covered cherries in part payment for a necklace I made her.
*considers feigning illness to go home and spend the rest of the day eating chocolate cherries and crocheting*
Mei-Mei! I have some black yarn in a basket getting friendly with some skinny slippery black glittery yarn ... if they decide they like each other, they'll become Mei Mei. Although I have to ask myself, when would I wear an evening shrug?? Well, summer will return!
There's always Christmas coming up. =) And you could slip it over a black polo neck or similar if you fancied dolling up a bit, but not too much.
