Categorized As:

I picked up the Crochetme book yesterday. It lives up to it's title of revolutionizing crochet! Bravo! Love it love it love it!! Can't wait to start some of the projects in there! You need this book! Hats off to the designers, Kim and Interweave for bringing us this book! Kudos!

(No, I'm not paid by Kim or Interweave to say any of this! Just a lover of good crochet books)

Mine should be here any day now - I preordered at amazon. I can't wait to see all the cool stuff in it. How many patters will you be making from it?

Hi Ericsgirl :-)

All the patterns are awesome - which one will I start with? I think Chloe Nightengale's Icelandic turtleneck - I love the look of it. Might not be quite as appealing on my size 14 body but it's irresistible in the book so I have to try it!

That turtleneck is absolutely beautiful. I saw it at Spark Craft when Kim was there. I highly recommend using the yarn that it suggests.

I love the book...just don't know what project to do first. I actually met Kim today at her Crochet Me launch at Webs in Northampton, Massachusetts. Kim is super nice and I got to touch and see almost all of the projects in the book. It was so neat to finally get to "see" the book. Check out my blog to read how the rest of my visit was.

I got the book last might at the Vancouver book launch. The launch was awesome, and so is the book. It was great seeing FO's because projects I didn't think I'd like to make, are totally on my list now.

I'm strating with the icelandic turtleneck too, but not doing the turtleneck part, and just starting with the yoke. And we'll see if my budget allows for the recommended yarn.

I started with the icelandic turtleneck to I have to say I love it!! It is so far my favorite pattern, I am in the process at the moment of making a stripped one, I was not able to use the reccomended yarn but the caron simply soft (you need about 4-5 skeins for the size 38) works really well. Its synthetic as well so you can wash it in the washing machine. I will have to post a picture soon of the pink one I made. I didn't make the arm warmers to go with it because I love it just with the cap sleeves.
