Comfy Cardi from the "Crochet Me" book

Categorized As:

Hello Y'all
After struggling a bit with the gauge, as presented in the "I need
crochet help" forum, I finally got it right and started the Comfy
Cardi. The Lacy Diamond stitch is fun to crochet and looks great I
think. I'm using a fine mohair from the farm I grew up on! I told my
mom and she's really proud that I finally use some of our yarn for a
project!
It's working pretty fast, as I only spent two nights on it and I
completed the back part and started to join the arms. (It's worked in
one piece for seamless shoulders)
It's my first actual garment, and I'm very much looking foward to
trying it on!!!

Day 1, Comfy Cardi

Day 2, Comfy Cardi

That is a very pretty stitch and in a very pretty color. I think you'll love that sweater.

Note to anyone planning on making the Comfy Cardi:
At "ROWS 10-19" of ARMS, it says "Beg with patt Row 3, work lacy diamond stitch patt 2 times... etc..." Only do the rows from the Lacy diamond stitch pattern diagram, DO NOT try to repeat Row 3 of the ARMS like I tried to do for an hour...
I guess it was clear, but I just want to prevent anyone from making the same mistake and waste an hour on it!
